Your role and responsibilities:

 

  • Promotes safety and quality as the top priorities throughout the business and monitor all operations that affect quality.
  • Leads the site’s quality assurance program to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains the Quality Management System and ensures ongoing compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.
  • Facilitates communications for key customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and the resolution of any challenges that may impede customer satisfaction.
  • Administers the internal quality audit system, a proactive program designed to foresee and prevent problems before they occur.
  • Performs root-cause investigations in response to external and internal issues.
  • Reviews current standards and policies and creates new ones as necessary.
  • Continuously transforms the Quality program to align with corporate requirements and market best practices.
  • Maintain effective work instructions and operating procedures for inspection, operations, and supplier quality assurance per ISO requirements.
  • Translate orders, contracts, specifications, and engineering drawings into inspection instructions.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.  
  • Prior team management experience required.
  • Prior experience in mechanical design, building out procedures and process improvement methods.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles
  • 2-5 years of relevant quality experience in manufacturing industry required.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • ISO 9001 Internal/ Lead Auditor. 
  • Able to perform Risk Analysis
  • Prior experience in building out procedures and process improvement methods.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with ability to meet deadlines.
