Revalyu (US) LLC will construct a manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Georgia, to convert recycled PET bottle flakes into rPET pellets using a breakthrough chemical recycling process.  Our customers can directly replace their conventional PET material with sustainably produced, recycled PET for their production of fibers, textiles, carpet, food packaging, and even new drink bottles.  We are in the early stages of the project (US One) and hiring staff for key positions that will lead the construction project and later the manufacturing operations.

SUMMARY

The Process Engineer is responsible for process control, process development and product development. The Process Engineer will serve as a Project Engineer for the US One Project until the plant commissioning. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS AS PROJECT ENGINEER

  1. Reviews engineering plans and equipment specifications for accuracy and completeness.

  2. Recommends process changes based on process knowledge and experience; Recommends equipment suppliers based on process knowledge and experience.

  3. Solicits and reviews equipment quotations making value recommendations to the Purchasing Manager.  Creates purchase requisitions.

  4. Reviews supplier submittals and coordinates changes to plans and equipment.

  5. Conducts equipment fabrication inspections and pre-shipment approvals.  Assists the Supply Room Technician with the inspection of received items.

  6. Observes construction and equipment installation insuring compliance with plans and process requirements.

  7. Communicates engineering and design information between the US based US One Project Team (US Project Team) and the India based US One Project Team (India Project Team); Communicates US Building Codes and Standards, FM Recommendations, and Company Standards to construction contractors and equipment suppliers.

  8. Assists the SHE Manager with Process Hazards Reviews, Safety Reviews, and Safety Audits; Assists the Maintenance Manager with the development of preventative maintenance plans and spare parts lists.

  9. Prepares operating instructions and training documents.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS AS PROCESS ENGINEER

  1. Conducts process control and process troubleshooting activities.

  2. Reviews plant performance versus key performance factors and makes recommendations for process and equipment changes to improve plant performance.

  3. Responds to problems relating to process issues and is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as support for the Manufacturing Manager and Maintenance Manager.

  4. Manages process and product development including preparation of Trial Plans and Trial Reports.

  5. Prepares product and raw material specifications.

  6. Investigates customer complaints and requests. 

  7. Assists the SHE Manager with Process Hazards Reviews, Safety Reviews, and Safety Audits; Assists the Maintenance Manager with the development of preventative maintenance plans and spare parts lists; Assists with improvements to operating instructions and training documents.

  8. Provides technical assistance to the Quality Manager for the continuous improvement of product quality.

  9. Be able to travel to different areas and visit other manufacturing sites to enhance our process and provide input on the systems at other locations.

 

What we're looking for in a Process Engineer role:

  • A four-year college degree in Engineering or related Sciences.

  • 5 years of experience with process engineering and controls in a chemical processing or polymer manufacturing industry is preferred. 

  • An in depth understanding or recycling, polymer processing and fiber processing technologies is preferred. 

  • Experience with ISO9000, ISO14000 and GRS Certifications is preferred. 

  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills are required.
