Production Coordinator
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate and execute all the relevant SAP transactions and processes to optimizes precious metal throughput, lead time and the quality off all Precious Metal containing material in Operations for Heraeus Precious Metals North America, LLC.  
The Production Coordinator is responsible for the listed day-today SAP transaction execution of Production and Sampling processes to meet customer demands. Furthermore, the Coordinator is fully responsible for the data quality off all entries for the Production and Sampling processes. 

 

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Creating and releasing of Production orders, including relevant process guidelines, for Customer Refining orders and for materials without Refining orders.
  • Filing of supporting document in a systematic order
  • Assist in coordinating year-end inventory, inventory documentation and accountability through paperwork or data entry and troubleshooting inventory problems.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement strategy at the site
  • Responsible for timely communication of information to the Director of Operations & Finance
  • Responsible for developing, communicating, and training of operational and working instructions
  • Responsible for immediate notification of any deviations from the operation
  • Responsible for the security of Precious Metals and adherence to the company precious metal guidelines.  Reports any breach in security or missing metals immediately to the local Compliance Officer or his designee  

 

What is required for this role:

  • Bachelor degree or high in related field is preferred
  • 3 years' working experience in manufacturing required, perferably in Precious Metal Recylcing
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel is required
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and convert calculations to percentage and to metric system 
  • The ability to understand concepts involving statistics, probabilities and formula manipulation and perform basic calculations on volume, mass, atomic percentages, weight percentages, density, molecular weight of alloys and compounds and charge weights. The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to program calculations using software tools
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications  
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exterme tempertures, loud noises, and strong orders
