Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an exciting opening for a Computer Programmer / Data Analyst II to provide complex data analysis, improve business processes and support strategic planning.  The ideal candidate will be part of our Data Excellence team and responsible for data analytic functions including data extraction, cleansing, match/merging, and loading processes. The successful candidate will have a background in Computer programming with experience in web-app development and working with SQL databases.

  • Work closely with all levels of the organization to tailor data solutions to business needs and champion a data-driven culture.
  • Provide visibility into manufacturing process via web-based applications that interface with backend relational databases.
  • Assist with maintaining and ensuring proper functioning of all databases.
  • Collaborate with Production to manage testing and production rollouts in a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain, extend, and modernize existing data-systems.
  • Enable data-driven decision making through reports and on-demand analysis of large data sets.
  • Work with an international team of IT and data professionals.

 

Your Profile:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field. Candidates with other educational backgrounds will be considered if they have relevant work experience.
  • The successful candidate will have a background in Computer programming with experience in web-app development and working with SQL databases.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS-SQL, ASP Classic, Visual Basic, JavaScript and HTML.
  • Experience with statistical analysis of large data sets and generating reports for operations and business users.
  • Knowledge of ASP.NET and .NET is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of Qlik Sense, JMP, Splunk or R is a plus but not required.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills – this role will collaborate with all levels of the organization from shop-floor personnel to plant management.
