 The following challenges await you:

  • Apply Mechanical Engineering and Design skills and technical expertise to continually improve and upgrade manufacturing production equipment

  • Lead capital projects starting with project definition and scope through specification, design, justification, installation, commissioning, post installation support. 

  • Using process expertise, assess capability of process equipment relative to current and future production needs.  Recommend and implement innovative solutions to resolve production issues.   

  • Work cross functionally with R&D, electrical and controls engineers, process engineering, outside contractors, and operations to design and install manufacturing solutions for new processes and products.

  • Generate mechanical designs using AutoCAD and other company standard drawing software.

  • Draft plant layouts, machine details, process flow and PI&Ds.

  • Implement engineering controls to enhance workplace safety.

  • Provide technical support and hands-on troubleshooting as required

Your Profile:

  • BS/MS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5-15 years Mechanical Engineering experience in industry.

  • Ability to manage large Capital Projects.  Strong Project Management skills

  • Ability to interpret  technical drawings and apply GD&T principles proficiently.

  • Ability to apply DFA principals to industrial machine design.

  • Experience with commercially available CAD packages. (AutoCAD and  Inventor preferred)

  • Knowledge of industrial gas, fluid, ventilation, and electrical systems. 

  • Must be willing and able to work closely with shop floor and Maintenance personnel in a hands-on capacity.

  • Experience in Optical Fiber, Glass, or related High Temperature processes.

  • Excellent Communication Skills.

  • High energy and robust work ethic

  • Working knowledge of control systems.

  • Mechanical and Thermal FEA using CAD modules.

  • EIT or PE license.
