Your role and responsibilities

Job Summary - Assembles electrical and mechanical systems and subassemblies using common hand and power tools and measurement equipment. Builds equipment to assembly procedures, blueprints, engineering sketches, and verbal instructions. Works in a team environment, under minimal supervision.

  • Performs routine and complex assembly tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment, with little or no instruction, in a dynamic, team oriented, manufacturing environment.
  • Builds equipment in a timely manner, from and according to assembly instructions, blueprints, engineering sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Recognizes defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes or faulty workmanship.
  • Complies with acceptable quality standards using appropriate manufacturing practices and methods.
  • May conduct mechanical operational tests on finished products and subassemblies.
  • Selects and uses appropriate hand and power tools and measurement equipment.
  • Processes paperwork and completes business system transactions as appropriate, in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to Heraeus EHS standards.    


What is required for this role

  • AA degree or high school graduate (or GED) and 2 years related experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and measurement test equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to lift various items, up to 50 pounds, from floor to bench height during assembly activities.
  • Ability to differentiate colors (i.e., working components).
