Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an immediate opening for a talented Programmer to join our Data Excellence Team at our Buford GA facility.  The Programmer is a critical part of the production process responsible for building and maintaining applications (web-apps and stand-alone apps) for data entry, data-automation, and reporting.  


Your Role and Responsibilities:


•    Maintains and modernizes existing data-systems and applications. 
•    Performs light database administration duties for MS-SQL Server.
•    Provides daily production assistance in troubleshooting errors and implementing automated checks and error-handling to reduce such errors. 
•    Assist Data-analysts and other users with retrieving data to meet business needs.
•    Works closely with Local and Global colleagues to tailor data solutions to business needs.
•    Collaborates with Production and Heraeus Global-IT to manage downtime, testing and production rollouts in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

 

What is required for this role:

•    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering. 
•    3+ years of relevent programming expierence.
•    Experience in web-app development and working with SQL databases.
•    MS-SQL, stored procedures, C#, ASP, .NET framework, Javascript, HTML, CSS.
•    Excellent communication skills.


Preferred skills for this role: 


•    Administering MS-SQL databases.
•    Knowledge of ASP ‘Classic’ (Visual Basic) and C++. 
•    Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
•    Data analysis experience and generating reports for operations and business users. 
•    Ability to ‘translate’ non-technical user requirements to actionable tasks.
