The Director of Finance is responsible for finance, controlling and accounting of the production site HCNA in Chandler, AZ. The site belongs to the global business unit Heraeus Conamic (HCA), which is globally active in developing, producing and selling of quartz and advanced materials to the Semiconductor and Photonics industry.


The following challenges await you:

  • Work closely with the President, the local Management Team, and the Global Head of Finance in running and growing the business. Contributing with Finance and other commercial expertise, and management experience
  • Manage the financial business plan of HCNA, including proper financial planning, identifying of key levers for financial success, regular update and comparison with actual performance, and deriving of potential need for action 
  • Lead special, global Business Unit projects as well as strategic local projects, including M&A
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly forecasts, and annual budgeting
  • Check and control cost allocations/margins and/or determine follow-up service levels (together with respective Business Area).
  • Evaluate, steer, advise and monitor capital expenditures, corporate strategic initiatives; while considering project cost, financing costs, cash flow and return on investment.  Also, review existing capital investments to justify viability
  • Improve efficiencies and reduce cost across the business
  • Maintain the integrity of the corporation’s financial books and records in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Provide information to the Regional Center for preparation of federal and state tax returns
  • Support the activities of the interim and annual external audit


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum 8 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience is required.
  • MBA, CPA or CMA or other advanced certification highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient in an ERP system (SAP highly desirable) and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
