Seeking a diligent Human Resource Generalist to join our HR team in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will excel in recruiting, talent management, and navigating employment laws while embracing our values and advancing our company culture.
What is Required for the Role:
- Develop scalable recruiting processes, standardize interview questions, and provide training to hiring managers and interviewers to improve recruitment efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with department managers to enhance talent acquisition strategies, with a focus on increasing diversity and quality of candidates.
- Contribute to strengthening Heraeus’s employer brand and culture by creating programs that promote employee engagement and align with company values.
- Forge connections with industry networks and external partners to bolster the Heraeus employer brand.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless new hire experience, including background checks, employee orientation, and fostering initial employee engagement.
- Address employee relations inquiries and grievances, assist managers with performance management, and handle sensitive investigations with professionalism.
- Ensure HR practices are in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Participate in employee orientation, HR program administration, and data audits.
- Support the development and update of local HR policies, staying informed on HR trends and legislative changes.
What is Required for the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, plus at least 3 years of relevant HR experience.
- Strong experience with full-cycle recruiting and talent sourcing, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- A good understanding of employment laws with a commitment to compliance and ethical practice.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn HRIS and talent management software quickly (experience with SAP is desirable).
- Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Discretion in handling confidential information and building professional relationships at all levels.
- Preferred: HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is advantageous but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the Chandler, Arizona facilities.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing) with all levels within the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Mathematical Skills
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: MS Office, Excel software, ADP; SAP and a level of ability to quickly learn new and changes to existing programs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense towards the execution of responsibilities. The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision; must be a self-starter.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts as well as hazardous materials/chemicals. The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet to moderate. This person will be required as needed to wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent may be in contact with potentially hazardous materials.
