The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct laboratory testing by following detailed work instructions and as directed by the laboratory manager to achieve consistent results.


The following challenges await you:

  • Prepare and run samples for analytical testing.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and performing preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Document information by maintaining logs and equipment record books.
  • Follows methods and write new analytical methods.
  • Learn, train, and become proficient in XRF, XRD, Partial size analyzer, Dilatometer, surface analysis, single reaction cell digestion, Carbon & Sulfur analysis and wet chemistry and sample preparation.
  • Calculations and conversions in ppb, ppm, weight %, on salt or oxide basis, gravimetric conversions, and molarity calculations.
  • Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Carrying out routine tasks and any non-routine task deemed necessary by the lab manager.
  • Weekly lab cleaning and weakly PPE validation checks.


Your Profile:


  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
  • 5 years of laboratory experience.
  • Working knowledge of excel, control charting, regressions, formulas, graphing.
  • Accepts ownership and explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Experience with LIMS.
  • Laboratory testing experience in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.
  • Sample preparation experience such as preparing specimens and samples with a saw blade, mount, and polishing units.
