Your Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides significant expertise in developing a range of engineering solutions to improve the manufacture of new and existing Heraeus Chandler products.  

  • Improves current production processes to manufacture products, using applicable methods and procedures.  

  • Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures, process workflows and OCAP’s.  

  • Transfers new products into production from a “design for manufacturability” approach.  

  • Participates in developing and maintaining documentation for processes and designs.  

  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.  

  • Understand manufacturing practices in semiconductor, ceramic environment is a plus.  

  • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.  

  • Execute Technical and analytical problem solving, using a structured methodology (PDCA, 8D, especially 3Leg/5Why, and KT)  

  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.  

 

What is required for this role:

  • 4 year Degree in Engineering and/or 4-7 years of relevant experience in the Semiconductor industry 

  • Well-developed leadership skills that inspire and motivate others. 

  • Stop and fix concept. 

  • Ability to explain a range of complex technical information and communicate with staff at all levels. 

  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement 

  • Strong customer focus and takes ownership of internal challenges. 

  • Well-organized and self-directed team player that can successfully lead teams. 

  • An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.  

  • Experience working with international colleagues and/or customers as well as a comfort level reporting in a matrix organization. 

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
