The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.

 

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections on CMMs and program as needed.
  • Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials and products.
  • Facilitate and maintain gage calibration process for entire organization, calibration of gages and assists in formulating calibration standards (including GR&R studies).
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products.
  • Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product. Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
  • Performs root cause analysis and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement risk control measures, and document a robust and living Risk Management File.
  • Facilitate the creation of both top-down and bottom-up risk management tools, assessments, processes, and principles, including FMEAs.

 

What is required for this role:

 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and visual capability to detect the range of items described in inspection criteria.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances to determine engineering dimensions and tolerance specifications.
  • Extensive experience in programming / operating CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
  • Experience with inspection gage calibration.
  • Must be familiar with basic inspection hand tools and first article inspections.
  • Knowledgeable and practical experience with SPC for data collection and analysis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO:9001 2015 and the ability to write/implement procedures.
  • Strong understanding of risk management requirements, tools, methodologies, and processes, including use of a variety of accepted methods.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience operating laboratory testing equipment a plus.
  • Experienced using SAP
