This position is for an experienced engineer engaged in product development of components and assemblies for the medical device industry.  This individual will have responsibilities for Project Management, Process Development, and for the overall effort to move a project from the quoting stage through validation.



  • Responsible for part review during the quotation stage based on project need and process knowledge.
  • Overall responsibility for the new product development process.
  • Project Management including customer interface, develop and maintain the project schedule, provide internal updates and communication, and lead the project team.
  • Ensure that proper processes are developed, implemented, maintained, and documented to successfully introduce new products the production site. Depending on project scope, a process engineer may or may not be assigned to the project team for each critical process step.
  • Demonstrate and utilize tried and true Engineering methods and resources to streamline the development process.
  • Use statistical tools to analyze data, make development decisions, and improve process capability (Six Sigma, SPC, DOE).
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment with all stake holders.
  • Work with manufacturing & quality engineering, business development and production management to establish, implement and deliver products to production that meet their design and profitability targets within the first 3 months of release to production.
  • Ensure technical requirements and other testing is fully documented for reference and traceability through company systems.
  • May provide training to others based on expertise, resume, or demonstrated work performance. 
  • Occasional travel may be expected for this position (pending Covid19 related restrictions)
  • Additional duties as assigned or apparent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Related Technical Field
  • 4 years minimum Engineering experience in an ISO 13485 regulated environment and demonstrated competence in required documentation and industry accepted practices
  • Engineering Experience in the medical industry or working with medical components / assemblies

Knowledge of and effective application of engineering tools (e.g., DOE, SPC, Process Validation)
