The following challenges await you: 

• The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a safe and productive workplace by maintaining and/or improving the building’s structure, facility equipment and systems and process equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability and implement solutions as appropriate.
• Coordinates and oversees activities conducted by contractors. (project management)
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs through use of Grand PM
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that production equipment continues to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Identify Capital projects. Provide expected cost and timelines for completion of projects.
• Available on call to address building emergencies.

Your Profile: 

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in a role supporting a manufacturing environment is required. A diploma from a technical or trade school is required. 
• Must have experience and certification with two or more of the following trades: plumbing, mechanical, electrical, controls, and general construction.  The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Must be able to understand contracts and systems manuals as well as be able to read blueprints and develop CAD drawings.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are required.  Teamwork skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems are required.
