Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct activities to support process improvement initiatives including but not limited to management of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, productivity improvement, and digitalization/automation projects.
  • Independently manages and executes multiple process improvement projects to achieve improved safety, quality, productivity, and COGS.
  • Supports site Heraeus Production System (HPS) initiatives. Act as expert in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma. Supports execution of site 2025 Digital Roadmap.
  • Identifies small-scale productivity improvements and interfaces with process owners to complete associated PDCA projects. Maintains floor presence to aid in identifying waste-reduction opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to the Operational team along with Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts for production, EHS, and Quality incidents. Develop, teach, and improve operators’ ability to technically troubleshoot the various plant operations.
  • Supports investigations into process deviations from Performance Dialogue 1 meeting.
  • Supports site operational needs as required. Supports New Product Introduction projects as needed. Supports ECN process as needed.
  • Owner of Production Master Data Maintenance (BOM’s/Routings) and related product costing exercises.



We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar degree and a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in a technical role supporting a manufacturing environment is required.   The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.  
  • A working knowledge of DMAIC techniques is required with a Six Sigma Black/Green Belt preferred.  
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are required. 
  • Organizational skills, teamwork skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to solve problems are required. 
  • Technical writing skills and computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel are required.   Familiarity with statistical software is preferred (ie: Minitab).
