Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the daily activities of the quality department to maintain the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing product and paperwork. The secondary responsibility of this position is to provide a single point of contact for all Quality topics at HPMC. This includes summary of Quality Assurance activities for the site management team.
  • Create, evaluate, monitor and communicate quality related key performance indicators.  Report on and drive improvement of all Quality related metrics by using continuous improvement methods (i.e. six sigma projects, PDCA projects, 8D).
  • Manage the capital expenditure approval process, the budget process and maintain quality budget records.
  • Coordinate engineering change process in the site (reporting and moderation).
  • Prioritize and schedule incoming and outgoing material testing for on-time delivery. Coordinate QC laboratory activities by owning the QC Gemba board and daily meeting. Perform specialized testing as needed.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve issues such as scheduling, rejected lots, etc. Supply to customers all necessary documentation to certify product quality.
  • Maintains Quality Management data in SAP (master data, inspection plans, certificate profiles). Perform administrative tasks such as database maintenance, analyzing reports and participating in daily meetings.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include the selection, training and development, assigning work, and performance management of employees.

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline and five years of quality control experience supporting a manufacturing environment is required.  The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment including collaboration among other functions. 
  • Must demonstrate project management skills as well as the ability to schedule and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel is required.  Experience using an ERP system such as SAP is required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 is required.  Expertise in Six sigma methodology and Lean concepts is preferred.
