<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Direct the Research & Development department to achieve new product development goals including the effective management of projects and budget 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Create the R&D strategy for short term and long term product portfolio in line with Global Business Unit strategy
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Plan, direct, conduct and report on research activities supporting the design of new products
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyze and solve problems regarding new product developments; work with Quality and Technical Services for troubleshooting as applicable
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Collaborate with sales, business development, technical service and production
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain continuous knowledge of technical developments in the field by obtaining information through industry reports, literature and patents; Author and present technical reports, technical papers and patent applications as needed
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Conduct supervisory responsibilities including the selection, training and performance management of employees including R&D chemists and technicians

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">PhD in Organic Chemistry and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Research & Development
  • Must have experience in Chemistry within Semiconductor or related field; experience with heterocyclic compounds and organic chemistry preferred
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, customer orientation and leadership ability
  • Possess a high level of inititative with the ability to motivate the team to succeed
