As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, the following challenges await you:   

  • Execute the purchase to pay process, considering quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership within a global environment. Focus areas include primarily Indirect Material and Services as well as Capital Acquisitions
  • Manage operational procurement for all materials within the product portfolio, utilizing SAP and overseeing the end-to-end Purchase to Pay process.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with suppliers to stay current on trends, technologies, products, and services within specific commodity areas
  • Evaluate the current supplier base and develop optimization plans to meet current and future needs. Negotiate contracts and purchase orders, serving as the first escalation point for any supplier performance issues
  • Prepares and process purchasing orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Resolves problems and issues arising from the procurement of goods, services, supplies, and equipment, acting as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures On-Time-Deliveries (OTD-S) are upheld according to established guidelines.  
  • Manage the dunning process efficiently.
  • Prepares documentation for product to be Returned to Vendor (RTV).


Your Profile


We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, specifically within indirect procurement, preferably in the chemical industry. 
  • APICS Certification is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable terms and outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex assignments or projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership.
  • Self-motivated with a strong initiative to drive continuous improvement
