Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:

  • Develop and optimize Quality Management System. Maintain the quality management system, tasks, personnel and scheduling of tasks.
  • Administer internal quality audit system including coordinating internal auditors and scheduling and completing the internal audits. Lead customer, vendor and internal audits at Heraeus. Manage ISO surveillance and renewal audits with Registrar.
  • Address customer requests and/or complaints by reviewing specifications, batch records, and other documentation as well as requesting additional testing of retained material. Manage the process of the corrective action responses and verifications. Review, negotiate and/or approve customer supplied specifications to ensure alignment with Heraeus specifications.
  • Communicates internationally with Technical Service and Sales representatives to provide data.  Run projects with internal and external parties.
  • Survey new suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements.
  • Prepare and present quarterly quality objectives such as on time delivery, rejected shipments, etc. Report KPI and project status.
  • Participate on the Material Review Board.
  • Conduct quality management orientation training for new employees. Conduct training as needed on quality management system procedures.
  • Enter engineering changes such as formula changes, process changes, or specification changes into the appropriate systems. Conduct in-process and final product review for approval and completion of Certificate of Analysis.

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline and five years of experience in an ISO-regulated environment is required.  Internal auditing and quality control experience supporting a manufacturing environment is required.  The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Leadership skills are required. Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are required. 
  • Documentation and technical writing along with computer proficiency in MS Office is required. 
  • Organizational skills, problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task are required. An in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools such as 8D, 5Why, FMEA, and MSA is required.  Knowledge of other regulations like IATF 16949 is a plus.
  • Willingness for domestic and international travel and ability to work in multinational teams is required.
