Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:



  • This position’s regular scheduled hours will be 3 pm – 11:30 pm Monday – Friday. Actual hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • The primary responsibility of this position is to produce products for Heraeus Epurio LLC, meeting customer specifications.  This Team Leader position supports the Production Supervisor to execute the daily production of materials in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity.
  • Acts as a liaison between management and the workforce to maintain safety, productivity, and the highest level of employee/employer relationships.   
  • Supports the Production Supervisor with the delegation of work and the flow of materials within or between departments according to schedule.
  • Reviews progress of work and solves basic production or processing problems. May recommend equipment maintenance or modification.
  • Measure, weigh, and mix chemical ingredients, according to procedure. Control or operate equipment in which chemical changes or reactions take place during the processing of products.
  • Support the development and updating of training materials, facilitate training, and track training requirements for the assigned team.  Training includes but is not limited to process training, technical training, and SAP training.
  • Perform initial operator training (onboarding), train and qualify new Operators. Perform cross-training of team members within Operations. Training may be group sessions, one-on-one, or preparing self-directed material.
  • Maintain department training documents and document operator qualifications as applicable. Support the updating of batch records and work instructions as applicable. Interact with cross-functional groups ensuring effective communication.

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; basic chemistry, reading and math skills are required.  Five or more years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment such as pumps, ovens, stirrers, dryers and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance is required. 
  • Must demonstrate an attention to detail and have the ability to schedule and prioritize effectively as well as possess organizational skills.  Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP is required. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology and ISO standards is preferred.
