Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required)

•    Completing purchases in accordance with specifications, price and policy.  Expediting as needed to assure timely delivery of purchase orders.
•    Maintain purchasing data in the ERP system and monitor parts that are run on schedule.  Look for MRP to ensure that orders are place on time.
•    Maintain inventory levels throughout plant, continually monitoring (safety stock) and reducing levels whenever possible.
•    Provides short and long range projections on raw materials, price and supply situations to management for planning purposes, including yearly standard raw material costs and evaluations.
•    Coordinating the return of damage goods, arranging for replacements or credits and documenting all transactions.
•    Maintaining purchasing files, logs and other records.
•    Provides excellent support, service and communication to all customers, internally. 
•    Supports Risk Management Process within his/her department.
•    Assist with system implementation and improvements both with ERP and business systems.
•    Provide Management significant information regarding customers, delivery dates, customer plans and status.
•    Support local & global cost saving projects/initiatives.
•    Manage spare parts inventory to assure minimum or zero downtime. 
•    Performs other duties as requested.
•    May provide training to employees based on expertise, resume or demonstrated work performance.
•    Follows and supports the Heraeus' quality system, policies and objectives promoting continues improvement.
