The Heraeus Medevio Dorado manufacturing facility is looking for a proactive Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. This position is on-site five days a week, while supporting approximately 100 employees across four shifts.
Within this opportunity, the ideal candidate will have a successful track record of leadership development, employee engagement and global process standardization experience, while being a strategic Human Resources partner to all levels within the local and global Medevio organization.
The Human Resources Manager will also partner with the Medevio US HR team, Medevio global HR Managers, Heraeus Regional HR Service Center, while reporting to the Head of Human Resources (US).
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the Regional HR Service center to ensure effective and efficient benefits and payroll administration.
- Partnering with site managers to assess staffing requirements.
- Working in collaboration with talent acquisition to develop cost effective recruiting strategies, screen applicants and make appropriate hiring and offer recommendations.
- Addressing matters and facilitating activities to improve employee engagement.
- Maintaining and introducing policies for the site.
- Partnering with site leadership team to continue to build credibility and trusted relationships.
- Identifying and developing innovative incentive/reward systems that addresses business needs.
- Developing salary structures and/or conduct special compensation studies based on local market values. Discussing appropriate salary treatment and flexible approaches with human resources leadership and site leadership.
- Facilitating resolution of employee relations issues in partnership with internal resources. Counseling managers and/or employees consistent with Medevio policies, along with US and Puerto Rico employment regulations.
- Consulting with managers and employees on training and development needs.
- Driving manager and employee self-service adoption on human resource processes and highly repeatable functional tasks.
- Facilitating organizational assessments and development of strategies to address current issues and future needs. Conducting research, making recommendations and proposal presentations.
- Serving as a functional and/or business representative to local and global leadership team, Global HR committees and/or task forces.
- Ability to travel outside of Puerto Rico.
- Other duties may be as assigned as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
- At least five (5) years of progressive human resources experience
- Working knowledge of HR administrative requirements pertaining to OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO, ADA, Unemployment, and Workers' Compensation
- Familiarity of federal, state, and local (Puerto Rico) laws and regulations that impact human resources and the employment relationship
- Ability to travel outside of Puerto Rico, up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
- Medical device industry experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of organizational development
- Experience managing employees within a multi-shift manufacturing facility
- Experience working as a Human Resources leader within a global organization
