The following challenges await you:
- You are creating design concepts, 3D models and drawings based on design input and product specifications, from ideation through concept development to design output.
- You drive the concept development by providing prototypes and test samples using rapid prototyping techniques by applying Design-to-Manufacturing and industrial design principles.
- You are supporting product development projects from concept freeze throughout the product design and manufacturing transfer.
- You work in cross-functional teams with program managers, design and process engineers, prototyping assistants, and RA/QA representatives within the global footprint of our company, as well as with our business partners and customers.
- Due to our broad portfolio, you work in many areas of interventional devices, including access devices, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic catheters and complex delivery systems, applying state-of-the-art technology.
- Together with our team of product design engineers and documentation specialists you support the complete documentation according to regulations, standards, and industry best practices under design control.
Your profile:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with a focus in Mechanical, Plastics or Biomedical Engineering´and have ready to use skills in 3D modelling, preferably in SolidWorks.
- You demonstrate a strong knowledge of applied materials, functional product design, design for manufacturing, and prototyping skills.
- You have very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Preferably you are familiar with Good Documentation Practice, Design Control and ISO 13485 / FDA requirements.
- Occasionally you can travel to customers or study locations throughout the world.
