Your role and responsibilities:

  • You enjoy teamwork and can perform the technological evaluation of processes already in development and pilot manufacturing phases to ensure manufacturability
  • As industrial engineer you are the expert in technical-technological analysis & evaluation of potential projects as a basis for future capacity planning
  • Designing production processes, production value streams and work stations as well as tools in consideration of safety, quality, lean and ergonomic aspects and defined standards is your passion
  • You coordinate approved production concepts and implement them together with the project participants and participate in process optimization projects
  • You are involved in preparation, creation and review of process documents or specifications and requirement specifications
  • You are in charge of identification and analysis of possible weak points and further development of our manufacturing concepts in line with regulatory and GxP requirements
  • This position owns the responsibility for partnering cross-functionally with the development team and operations team to gather the necessary information to create and maintain the value stream of products the projects move through the development process and transfer to production.
  • You are professionally using Lean principles and tools, responsible for helping to determine the best way to design and flow production areas as it relates to the assigned project, this includes safety and ergonomic aspects of workstation setup.
  • Within our organization you are the trainer, mentor and coach on the Heraeus Production Systems methodology and Lean principles; Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, 7+1 Wastes, Line Balancing and you are also responsible for facilitating Lean trainings.




What is required for this role:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering or Industrial-Engineering or Production-Engineering
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of work preparation, industrial engineering or technical project management in a manufacturing preferably medical device company
  • Ideally, several years of professional experience in medical technology or from the regulated environment with
  • Experience and comprehensive know-how in the production environment, Lean-Sigma, REFA, and MTM knowledge desirable
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in German and English
