The following challenges await you:

  • Coordination of Manufacturing Engineering department including supervision, recruitment, training, and performance monitoring of department staff.
  • Department capacity and resource planning as well as individual development planning.
  • Responsible to develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes based upon internal and external customer requirements with strong focus on commercial roadmap, covering low volume, pilot manufacturing and high volume manufacturing.
  • Specification of process relevant tools and equipment  based on user (external and internal) needs and prospective production layouts.
  • Cooperation within HMC to support design for manufacturing principles for prospective transfers of product lines to HMC operations sites.
  • Assure compliance with quality requirements, workplace safety requirements, design and process specifications, and record keeping requirements in accordance with medical device regulations and risk management principles.
  • Oversight the maintenance of manufacturing processes, including process verifications, validations and associated testing within the PLM system.
  • Support Site Manager and Site EHS Manager in ensuring compliance with all EHS laws and regulations in the entrusted area of responsibility




Your profile:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in similar position in a regulated industry environment; preferrably medical devices.
  • Proven track record in leading engineering teams (> 5 engineers), team player with a cooperative mindset.
  • Determined and flexible to assure successful and timely completion of site strategic goals.
  • Master degree in process engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills as well as fluent German language skills desired
  • Proficient in statistical methods and Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six sigma certificate preferred.
