The primary responsibility of this position is the receipt, movement, storage and issuance of our manufacturing and site support materials along with the documentation of these activities.
The following challenges await you:
- Uses operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Completes cycle count program and is responsible for inventory accuracy.
- Reconciles precious metal transactions each week.
- Actively participates in weekly shipment meetings with engineering and operations to ensure weekly shipments are on schedule.
- Applies lean principles in the organization of inventory.
- Ensures warehouse is in optimal condition, organized, clean and easily accessible.
- Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and creates repair work orders as needed.
- Uses an awareness of how warehouse activities affect other functions such as production, facilities, EHS, and purchasing to make decisions.
- Participates and/or assists with cross training activities, training of new hires and temporary staff. Follows set training program for position and ensures training requirements are up to date using training tracking system.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by your manager or the company.
Your profile:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of 2 years progressive development in a warehouse position required
- Previous experience in the medical device industry highly desired
- A solid understanding of the supply chain functions throughout the manufacturing and shipping processes
- SAP ERP software experience required
- Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office software packages including Outlook and Excel
- Forklift operation certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification required
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks daily
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision; must be a self-starter
- Experience utilizing multiple systems to troubleshoot
- Experience troubleshooting connected business software systems
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
