Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:


  • Designs using CAD and Altium PWB design tools for schematic capture and board layouts.
  • Design electronics/electro-mechanical equipment, including concept development, simulation, design documentation and analysis, design layout, prototype development and testing. 
  • Conceptualizes equipment requirements and designs based on customer and sales input; prepares engineering specifications and effectively communicates design and specification to sales, the customer, and Engineering.
  • Experience/Knowledge about RF (microwave, 2.45GHz) signal measurement and testing to determine integrity, cross-talk and coupling in a RF cavity and waveguide design.
  • Works as part of internal and external teams on product development or sustaining of existing products mostly related to Switch-Mode/Ferro-Resonant power supplies and control systems for UV equipment.
  • Conducts design reviews with internal and external teams and consultants to ensure electrical/electronic design in a project meets the product specification and cost requirements.
  • Domestic or international travel (5% to 10%) to meet with customers/suppliers/3rd party Engineering Service providers and review projects detail/status.
  • Knowledge working with business software system; SAP experience a plus.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (or similar) and eight or more years in implementation and execution of product development projects and supporting/working with manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to apply electrical engineering fundamentals to solve complex electrical/electronic design problems.
  • Experience in sustaining existing products and challenges with component obsolescence or supplier quality issues.
  • Knowledge of high voltage power supply design topologies such as Switch Mode Solid-State and Ferro-Resonant.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on complex electrical, mechanical, and optical industrial systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
