This position designs and builds electrical/electro-mechanical projects and control panel systems for industrial ultraviolet and infrared systems and assures engineering objectives are met within cost, quality, and scheduling parameters.


The following challenges await you:



  • Specification, layout, detail and physical checkout of electrical systems for Infrared and UV System projects.
  • Establishes design criteria and operating requirements/sequences for new control systems, components, and circuitry.  This includes electrical schematics, panel layout, and component selection.
  • Designs, develops, and documents electrical power distribution and electronic control circuits for Infrared and UV curing industrial equipment using computer-based design packages.
  • Develops and documents industrial PLC control programs.
  • Designs and supports test equipment for Infrared and UV Curing industrial equipment.
  • Prepares and/or assists and/or supervises in the preparation of formal manufacturing documentation for Infrared and UV Curing industrial products.
  • Documents software design using best commercial practice such as, detailed memory maps, commented listings, ladder logic, and flow charts.
  • Provides technical support in the debugging of prototypes, and resolution of problems in manufacturing and at the customer's site.  May travel to customer site.  

Your Profile:

  • BSEE and 5 years industrial controls design experience, or 1-year direct experience with HNA control systems.
  • Must have working knowledge of CAD and electrical design packages.  Preferred - EPLAN, AutoCAD
  • Must have working knowledge of at least two PLC proprietary languages.  Preferred - Allen-Bradley, Siemens
  • Must have working knowledge of at least one graphics-touchscreen programming language.  Preferred:  Allen-Bradley PanelBuilder, Siemens SIMATIC HMI
  • Knowledge of North American and European electrical standards and practices.  Preferred:  UL, CSA, CE
  • Mechanical assembly or design background helpful.
