Here are just a few of the things you will get to do:


  • Executes strategic procurement for direct materials in assigned categories, with a focus on electronics and electronics components/modules containing power electronics.
  • Manages the category of Magnetrons globally (lead buyer concept).
  • Time is of essence: through re-negotiations with existing suppliers on price, pricing conditions, logistics terms, payment terms & Lead times.
  • A maximum drive, passion and speed to support existing purchasing colleagues.
  • Leads strategic supplier negotiations. Executes strategic procurement for direct materials in assigned categories.
  • Develops and aligns category strategy for assigned category with key stakeholders in businesses and functions, incl. markets, suppliers, policies, levers and approved vendor list.
  • Drives continuous cost reduction, cost avoidance and cash improvements on category level (TCO).
  • Challenges business on specifications and opportunities for cross-business collaboration.




We are looking for people who are not just open to new ideas, but want to bring fresh thinking, energy and a creative perspective to their work. Some of the traits and qualifications the ideal candidate would possess include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business or technical field and Eight (8) years experience in Purchasing and/or Materials or extensive relevant experience in an engineer-to-order, low volume purchasing environment.
  • Substantial procurement experience in a multi-national scope in a technical/technology environment. Has deepest knowledge in Electronics & Electronics components / modules including power electronics.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to win strong personalities over and promote collaborative working. Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Produces strategic sourcing deliverables (spend analysis, supply market analysis).
  • In depth SAP knowledge.
