The following challenges await you:

• You will be responsible for translating improvement potentials into mathematical models.

• In your role, you will work closely with Data Engineering for the preparation of complex data sets and have a high affinity for doing data engineering yourself.

• You will develop machine-learning pipelines and baseline models in close coordination with key stakeholders.

• You will prepare results effectively, communicate them, and derive measures together with the business units and key stakeholders including our top management.

• Furthermore, you will integrate machine-learning algorithms into existing applications and develop independent machine-learning applications (e.g. based on micro-services, automated test pipelines, logging, and model performance monitoring)

• You will identify and design customized software technologies and machine-learning architectures.

• Additionally, you will play an active role in the development of our data science community (including change, improvement, and communication activities).


What is required for this role:

• Master or PhD in data science, computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering

• Several years of experience in data science, statistical analysis, and modelling using analytics and Big Data frameworks

• Excellent analytical skills for identifying tasks and transferring them into adequate mathematical models

• Intrinsic motivation to permanently develop one's own skills, especially in state-of-the-art machine-learning approaches and related software architectures

•Ability to adopt a balanced approach between exploratory and implementing activities

• Communication skills to clearly convey complex models to customers and work with customers across all hierarchy levels

• Implementation of machine learning concepts in maintainable and scalable Python code

Experience in data visualisation, statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (neural networks)
