The following challenges await you:

  • Heraeus Precious Metals is a global leader in processing, recycling and trading of precious metals (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Iridium, Ruthenium and Osmium). As such we have a deep understanding of global supply (primary and secondary) and demand (industrial application and investment) developments as well as their fundamental background. In order to strengthen our analytical expertise, we are looking for a Precious Metals Analyst.
  • In your role as Precious Metals Analyst you take responsibility for the ongoing monitoring of markets- and supply for dedicated precious metals. 
  • You perform quantitative modeling and forecasting of global availability and pricing and develop analysis to support strategic investment decisions.
  • Data interpretation, deriving quantitative implications of qualitative observations for the markets you are responsible for (e.g., impact of the Russia-Ukraine war on various markets). 
  • You show storytelling skills, by preparing research- and analysis results in Power Point and Excel in a highly structured and appealing way. 
  • Finally, you drive projects and initiatives in the broader context of sustainability and in cross-functional international teams and take responsibility for the successful management of these efforts.

Your profile:

  • University degree in economics, business administration, engineering or a similar field
  • Profound knowledge and professional experience in the areas of market research are helpful
  • Strong analytical skills, affinity for numbers as well as ability to analyze and structure larger amounts of data
  • You are interested and up to date about the current main economic- and political developments in the world
  • Hands-on mentality and passion for implementing cross-functional projects
  • Excellent MS office skills and you are familiar with basic statistical methods with support of existing Excel / Python tools
  • We also support part-time solutions. Minimum for this position is 25 hours per week
