The following challenges await you:

  • In your role as Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will be responsible to develop business solutions in the realm of parts inspection, optimization, forecasting, unstructured information processing and predictive maintenance using your expertise in optimization, deep learning, reinforcement learning and generative AI.
  • You work with the relevant open-source deep-learning architectures and adapt them to the targeted applications leveraging your machine learning operation skills.
  • Working closely with Data Engineering, you prepare complex datasets, understand how to work in a team, and enjoy sharing your knowledge.
  • You effectively prepare and communicate results and derive an implementation plan together with business units and key stakeholders.
  • In addition, you are proficient in a systematic approach that allows you to efficiently move from customer requirements to operationally deployed AI models.

 

Your Profile:

  • Master's degree or PhD in data science, computer science, mathematics, or the natural sciences or a relevant quantitative discipline
  • Several years of experience in the application of open-source deep-learning models and in statistics
  • Experience in data visualization, machine vision (openCV), statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, as well as ML-Ops and (maybe) Six-Sigma
  • Python and especially Pytorch you write like a native language
  • Strong analytical skills as well as an intrinsic motivation to permanently develop your own skills especially in state-of-the-art AI approaches and related software architecture
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in explaining complex models to non-experts
  • You are passionate about reading state of the art research papers in the realm of artificial intelligence and eager to apply your newly acquired knowledge to your daily challenges at Heraeus
