We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a background in natural science or engineering and ideally a certified expertise in project management to lead innovation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from ideation to completion, ensuring that all project goals are achieved within the specified time, budget, and scope - additionally is enthusiastic about the products and projects of tomorrow.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- As a Senior Project Manager, you'll manage and direct project activities along our processes to achieve project objectives, with a strong understanding of the resources, skills, and timing necessary to meet competing project schedules.
- Creating the necessary framework conditions for an efficient and effective way of working is essential to generate the best possible results.
- Cross-functional leadership and coordination with customers are key to developing an aligned overall project plan.
- The status of the projects should be communicated appropriately to mitigate risks with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Keeping the projects under control involves proactive tracking and communication, including scope, timelines, budget, and resources, to align the status of the projects with stakeholders.
- Furthermore, tracking project expenses and maintaining financial oversight is crucial to ensure that the projects stay within budget.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in natural science, mathematics, informatics, or engineering, ideally with a PhD, and certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge and practical application of project management tools, processes, and best practices across multiple methodologies.
- Proven experience in building strong teams, fostering cross-functional relationships, and effectively interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders including customers, executives, and subject matter experts.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various levels of collaborators, including customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated competence in completing projects according to established scope, budget, and timelines, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Extensive experience in guiding teams through risk assessment and mitigation activities, establishing strong ownership of the full project life cycle from initiation to deployment.
- Strong knowledge of finance fundamentals as related to projects and fluency in spoken and written business English and German
