The following challenges await you:

In your role as Subcontracting Analyst (m/f/d) you will be responsible for sourcing and procurement of refining services from internal and external parties.
You will coordinate and manage refining job transactions between Heraeus Precious Metal (HPM) and the respective internal and/or external partner for the entire refining process beginning with disposition of the material and ending with fine metal returns.
You will be responsible for grouping material into the most advantageous weight and value sizes for shipment to our internal and external customers. For this purpose, you will work closely with production planning, operations, sales, and logistics team.
Your day-to-day tasks include but not limited to identifying of appropriate partners given the material, informing the respective partner of outgoing shipments, coordinating the sampling process, conducting analytical exchanges, completing refining order settlements, and lastly arranging metal returns.
You will prepare and share cost analysis and ad-hoc reports for management evaluation.
You will work together with your colleagues on IT and process improvement projects.

Your Profile:

Technical or Business degree with at least two years of work experience preferably in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Technical Customer Service/Sales, etc.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to manage activities across multiple projects.
Be able to plan and make decisions quickly, and solve problems based on factual information and innovative solutions
Being a quick learner to become comfortable and savvy with basic systems (i.e. SAP)
Organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as very good communication skills
Willingness to go the extra-mile and acquire topics even, if they may reside outside of your area of responsibility
Knowledge of SAP ERP system and knowledge of precious metals recycling business desirable
