Your role and responsibilities:

  • In your role, yor are the technical contact for sales customers in the field of application of electrocatalysts in the different applications. This includes:
    • Customer service and consulting in the field of development and optimization of inks and electrodes for PEM EL & FC
    • Processing of application-related questions and optimizations in cooperation with Customers and Production
    • On-site assistance at customer sites and intensive customer support
    • International customer visits
  • You have an interface function between Sales and R&D with organizational embedding within the Global Sales function
  • You evaluate performance parameters of fuel cells and electrolyzers, especially within Sales Customer applications
  • You support of selected cooperations together with R&D in a global environment
  • In coordination with R&D Hydrogen Systems  you represent in relevant consortia or committees.


What is required for this role:

  • Academic background in natural science or engineering and possibly subsequently a PhD
  • Long-term experience in the field of hydrogen electrochemistry – Sales/Customer Service and R&D
  • Profound practical knowledge in the field of water electrolysis and fuel cells as well as their components (CCM, MEA, BPP, FF), including manufacturing and characterization is mandatory
  • Strong customer orientation for the technical implementation of customer-individual requests
  • Advanced knowledge in coating technologies for electrode manufacturing and good knowledge on market of hydrogen applications
  • Good experience in precious metal chemistry nd well networked in the field of electrochemistry as well as the hydrogen community
  • Good skills in project and portfolio management, advanced skills in English- and MS Office
  • Independent, highly dedicated and pro-active work-style desired and high willingness to travel
