Your role and responsibilities
- Job Summary – As Customer Service Representative, you will coordinate daily activities among outside sales, internal departments and all customer accounts. Maintain all facets of the customer orders in SAP.
- Provide support to all regional sales personnel and representatives.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with all customers.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of all order acceptances and invoices for contract standards. Fax, e-mail, mail and telephone communications (e.g. invoices, order acknowledgements, etc.)
- Coordinate and manage all activities with freight companies, including international customs brokers, (e.g. delivery schedules as needed, proof of deliveries, billing, etc.) and same day shipments.
- Update and maintain a business profile for all customers.
- Coordinate activities regarding the instrument leasing program.
- Coordinate proposals and questions for current, new and potential customers.
- Code freight invoices with respective number and coordinate chargebacks within CS team.
What required for this role
- Excellent professional demeanor, a service-first attitude, and product/service expertise in Electronics, Instrumentation and the Steel or Foundry industries.
- Can speak clearly, is well-spoken, and can communicate concisely and thoroughly.
- Able to exercise discretion.
- Can resolve technical problems.
- 5 years of experience in a technical customer service center role (NOT A CALL CENTER) (or 2-year administrative degree and 1-2 years of experience) AND phone-based business to business CS experience (NOT IN RETAIL).
- Can explain technical services to the end customer.
- Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Experience with SAP or other ERP software applications.
- Experience with international shipments including working with customs brokers.
- Ability to speak French as a second language preferred.
