Your role and responsibilities

  • Job Summary- Assemble, test, calibrate, and repair electronic measuring instruments and equipment.
  • Solder circuit boards and build computers.
  • Test and validate electronic assemblies and components within quality parameters.  May also test and validate software.
  • Disassemble instruments and equipment and inspect components for defects.
  • Troubleshoot, properly repair to the component level and calibrate instruments in accordance with ISO procedures.
  • Prepare and perform final acceptance testing of new instrumentation prior to shipment.
  • Help formulate calibration standards to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
  • Operate in accordance and in full compliance with all applicable ISO 9000 and ISO 17025 standards and procedures.

 

What is required for this role

  • 2-year technical school degree or military equivalent in electronics or similar program and 2 years of related experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude (demonstrated or measured).
  • Ability to read and work from electronic blueprints and schematics.
  • Electrical and electronic assembly experience.
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience down to the board level.
  • Operate electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Experience with repair facility operations.
  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware.
  • Proficient in basic application software systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
