Evaluate work processes to determine strategies and programs which provide greater productivity and efficiency of production functions by performing the following duties.


The following challenges await you:

  • Provide technical support and training for production area staff.  Improve production through the implementation of new processes and equipment.
  • Create assembly drawings of equipment, fixtures & electrical diagrams using AutoCAD and create OMS documents as used in the manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot highly automated equipment or machines that are used on the floor for production.
  • Respond to feedback and improvement suggestions from operators about safety, processes, machines, fixtures, and other equipment.
  • Utilize LabView, OEE Reader, e-VSM, etc. as tools with data acquisition and analysis.
  • Oversee the installation and startup of new equipment and initiate any modifications, as they become necessary.
  • Gather information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs, and duration using Lean and Six Sigma and other continuous improvement concepts.
  • Assist other departments such as Maintenance, Product Engineering, Maintenance and Quality with design and manufacturing projects.


Your Profile:

  • Minimum of a four-year college degree (Engineering Field – preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial) or equivalent combination of degree and working experience including process engineering.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical design.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and correctly identify required repairs.
  • Automation background, experience with electrical diagrams and PLC trouble shooting highly desired.
  • Prior experience working in a team-based environment in an ISO 9000 certified facility highly desired.
  • Prior experience in PLCs, AutoCad, assembly operations, and metal fabrication highly desired.
  • Prior experience in the successful selection, justification and installation of capital equipment highly desired.
  • Prior experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma and project management highly desired..
