 Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned engineering projects to assure results are within cost, schedule, and technical goals; may also lead or participate on technical and cross functional teams to resolve complex technical problems and ensure effective communication within the teams and the rest of the organization at all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Coordinate with and/or lead sample-to-production teams on new product launches.
  • Establish specifications and conduct effective evaluations for new product development and/or applications of existing products, materials or systems.
  • Provide support for the implementation of the design, scale-up and automation of new and/or existing product manufacturing lines.
  • Investigate, plan, and implement the introduction of new materials/processes into product manufacturing processes.
  • Establish methodologies for thorough investigation and resolution of recurring mode-failures of existing products.
  • Develop new, or improve upon existing, products, systems, and methods and design, build, and test prototypes and pre-production products; communicate test results to management and project teams.
  • Take charge of installation/testing/troubleshooting and repair of equipment and implementation of products where engineering support is required
  • Ensure compliance to company policies, programs and procedures and regulatory standards (ISO 9001, 17025)

What is Required for the Role:

  • Strong understanding of engineering principals.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong documentation & technical writing skills.
  • Experience with data acquisition devices and sensors is a plus.
  • Experience with electromechanical and/or pneumatic systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Auto-Cad and/or 3D modeling skills and FMEA/DFMEA knowledge is preferred.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Some industry experience, preferably in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment highly desired.
