The following challenges await you:

You create long-term value and profitable growth by building the strategic innovation roadmap for both products and processes.
You lead the Research & Development team of around 40 people.
You are responsible for managing innovation project budgets from project start to market launch.
In addition, the initiation and implementation of projects as a basis for future innovations in close coordination with other departments involved is also part of your area of responsibility.
You develop carbon neutral production technology.
Furthermore, you are responsible for expansion and active relationship-management of an innovation network with research institutions, start-ups and individual experts.
You explore the feasibility of new technologies or scientific progress for commercial application.

Your profile:

Successfully completed master's degree in physics, chemistry or materials science.
Many years of functional and leadership experience in R&D of an industrial environment preferably in the field of glass technology or material manufacturing
Strong track record in developing strategic innovation roadmaps and project management skills
Excellent technical understanding with the ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner
People orientation and ability to work in a team
Fluency in German & English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel
