The following challenges await you: 

  • Global Product Manager implementing a worldwide product strategy for analytical light sources and supporting HNG's overall strategy.

  • Manage a product portfolio with sales of more than €20 million along the product lifecycle. 

  • To do this, you will develop product strategies based on technology trends, customer needs, market demand estimates, competitive intensity and internal capabilities and translate them into individual product concepts.

  • You define requirement specifications for innovative, market-oriented products with strong interaction between customers and innovation.

  • Your responsibilities will include planning and execution of product launches including technical support as well as product training for our sales organization.

  • Implementation, management and tracking of defined strategic projects within the organization is also part of your responsibilities-

  • Identify attractive markets and applications using various sources (including paid expert interviews), summarize results (e.g., in quantitative market models) and propose sales/marketing actions.

  • Increase portfolio profitability by implementing price recommendations.


Your Profile:

  • College degree with excellent academic record, ideally in life sciences, physical sciences or engineering

  • 5-7 years of professional experience, ideally in a mix of commercial and technical roles

  • Key skills include problem structuring, information synthesis, top-down communication, an 80/20 approach, a strong interest in technology, assertiveness, and a passion for people 

  • Willingness to travel globally (~30%), primarily between production sites in Hanau (Germany) and Cambridge (UK)

  • Location in Hanau or Cambridge, partial remote setup is possible

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the analytical instrumentation market (e.g. as a product/portfolio manager or application expert at an analytical instrumentation OEM (e.g. Waters, Agilent, Thermofischer, PerkinElmer, Ametek).

  • Experience in leading-edge consulting would be an advantage, as would hands-on experience in a laboratory (e.g., as a technician, graduate student)
