The following challenges await you:

  • You will develop new types of specialty glasses to improve process applications in the semiconductor industry.
  • You will support complex product development projects in the field of quartz glass and refractory glasses.
  • You will also plan and organize experiments in the melting pilot plant and evaluate them.
  • You will identify complex and technically relevant problems in the field of refractory glasses, determine their root causes and develop and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • You will be responsible for anticipating and protecting technologies, processes, materials and products through appropriate patent applications.
  • You will interact internally with the Product Management, Sales and Operations functions and externally with customers, research institutions and cooperation partners to ensure the success-critical aspects of innovation projects.

 

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed master's degree in physics, chemistry or materials science, doctorate desirable
  • Many years of professional experience in the implementation and evaluation of experiments and their documentation
  • Proven experience in the development of quartz glass or refractory glasses
  • Knowledge in the field of high-temperature melting systems 
  • Very good organizational skills and project management knowledge 
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
  • Ability to work in a team, creativity and a solution-oriented approach, responsive to target groups
