  • Works with CS department and other teams to consistently meet sales and corporate goals.
  • Confer with (potential) customers by phone, fax, email, and occasionally in person to provide information about products and services.
  • Communicates daily and directly with customers by phone, fax, email, and occasionally in person. Is a primary liaison between client and Heraeus during the bulk of an order transaction.
  • Processes business transactions in SAP as the leading ERP system. Enters quotations, orders, complaints, etc. Creates delivery notes (where applicable), invoices, credit- and debit notes. Maintains customer-material-info and pricing-records in SAP for efficient order processing. Maintains Sales/CS views of business partners and part numbers in SAP.
  • Responds directly to customer enquiries in all areas of their order transaction. Including but not limited to: answering questions on quotations, answering questions on shipping and environmental requirements, reporting on current status of order, relaying information relating to status of products shipped, conducting assay exchanges with customers, assembling final metal accountability and assembling billing invoices.
  • Maintains rapport and good working relationship with appropriate customer personnel from Purchasing, Traffic departments, Material Management and Engineering Departments (where applicable).
  • Works with Quality & Production departments to resolve (internal/external) quality issues. Assures timely and accurate feedback to the customer about status and findings of the complaint and resulting corrective actions.
  • Works and communicates closely with our recycling/production site in Wartburg, Tennessee.
  • Assists & leads customer service and sales related projects as instructed (e. g. aiming at area/process improvements).
  • Participates in customer meetings with outside sales team, when necessary. Meetings can be in person or virtual.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Determine and communicate the appropriate components of the sale into the organization.
