The primary responsibility of Technical Sales Specialist will be for promoting, selling, and securing orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. This individual will leverage their chemistry background and knowledge in heterogeneous catalysts to provide technical solutions and support to customers, creating value-added experiences that lead to business growth.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Identify and establish contact with potential customers proactively.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls and emails.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and uses of heterogeneous catalysts.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding the selection, use, and handling of heterogeneous catalysts.
- Work alongside the product development team to recognize and suggest new product opportunities or modifications based on market feedback
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Analyze and monitor competitor strategies, new technologies, and market trends. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data and trends.
- Maintain personal networks, and participate in professional organizations to keep up-to-date with industry trends.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities.
What is required for this role:
- Required: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Phd in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably in the field of chemical catalysts or a closely related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas.
