You Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide multi-skilled maintenance support focused on customer service, quality, cost and productivity in a fast paced Manufacturing environment.
  • Responsible for day to day maintenance and support of production and facilities equipment, but also anticipates future needs.
  • Performs regular routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure good working conditions at all times throughout our facilities. 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment to ensure equipment problems are addressed within a timely manner. 
  • Provides Technical support to Engineering, Production and Facilities. Support custodial staff as needed, including routine facility maintenance.
  • Know and practice respectful workplace behavior 
  • Trained on and understands, completely, the lock out tag out process and machine shut down order of events on all equipment.

What is Required for this Role:

  • Working towards and obtaining, or currently possessing a 2-year technical degree in the mechanical and or electrical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years machine manufacturing equipment repair, mechanical and electrical. PC skills preferred.
  • Some heavy lifting required to replace motors, pumps, extruder screws, etc., at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move / manipulate heavy components
  • Occasionally – lift /carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Working near energized electric circuits; some chemicals;  as well as hot equipment and or materials.
  • Observe and understand equipment sequence of operation and configuration to isolate failure and perform root cause analysis
  • Organizing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
  • Understand characteristics and operation of foreign industrial equipment, systems and their components, and the safety hazards associated with them
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • SAP a plus
