In this position you will provide expertise in developing titanium housing components from prototype stage through validation. You will design and verify capability of tooling and process settings using characterization tools. You will collaborate and work closely with Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Project Managers, Technicians and Operators to ensure customer and internal requirements are satisfied. Success in this position requires hands-on process work, data analysis, customer communication, coordination and documentation.



  • Develops processes, fixtures, and equipment for project requirements
  • Ensures that proper technology processes are developed, implemented, maintained, and documented to successfully introduce new products into manufacturing
  • Involved in prototyping, process development, confirmation runs, and validation. Available to support and trouble shoot production issues as needed
  • Provides significant guidance regarding technical strategies and approaches; works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Assume responsibility for completeness and accuracy of developed processes (i.e., lead, manage, communicate, complete documentation, train) including ownership of process capability, and process costs
  • Provide training to others based on expertise or demonstrated work performance
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in medical device industry
  • Process development experience
  • Process characterization and validation experience
  • Design of Experiments experience
  • Metal forming experience
  • CAD experience
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical assembly/fixturing background preferred
  • Experience working as a technical lead preferred
