Roles and Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Primary area of responsibility is lead assembly and coiling for neuromodulation systems
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Assess and provide input for design for manufacturing.<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"> Develops processes, fixtures, and equipment for site requirements.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Utilizes process characterization skills and tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE), pFMEA, scale up factors, mitigation to foreseen risks, and capability analysis. This knowledge may be leveraged across various technologies as needed.
  • Support business line and project engineering with accurate communication and representation of HMC’s capabilities.
  • Work with subject matter experts and cross functional groups to ensure that proper technology processes are developed, implemented, maintained and documented to successfully introduce new products into manufacturing.
  • Involved in prototyping, process development, confirmation runs, and validation. Available to support and trouble shoot production issues as needed.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Assume responsibility for completeness and accuracy of developed processes (i.e., lead, manage, communicate, complete documentation, train) including ownership of process capability, process quality, and process costs.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Provide directions and instructions to development and production operators and technicians on new and revised processes.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Assist in new equipment identification, procurement, installation qualification, document creation, and training. May participate in execution of these activities as needed.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Coordinate new tooling/fixturing identification, procurement, and verification. May participate in execution of these activities as needed.

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">What is Required for this Role

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Industrial Engineering field with 5 years related experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Basic CAD/CAM experience or training; ProEngineer or SolidWorks highly desired or equivalent job experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Must be able to clearly articulate and listen attentively to questions, concerns and feedback from coworkers and customers. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Must be able to create legible, accurate, and detailed documents that clearly communicate product and manufacturing expectations.
  • Ability to effectively improve processes with minimal direction and information. Demonstrate high level of initiative, critical thinking and creativity.
