The Following Challenges Await You:

  • Ensure scheduled jobs are met and gives work direction/assignments to assure customer shipment schedule is met. 
  • Supports technical activities and resources to avoid/minimize downtime, set production priorities and resolve manufacturing issues. 
  • Formulates explicit work directions to staff and maintains a visibly organized area.  
  • Drives and supports lean manufacturing methods throughout manufacturing.   
  • Requisitions ordering of manufacturing supplies and raw materials to maintain adequate inventory. 
  • Makes changes to and assures weekly time reporting is accurate. 
  • Assures availability of qualified technical resources on the production floor either through intra-department support or consulting extra-department expense. 
  • Coordinate development of tools and set-up procedures to produce high quality product with minimal setup cycle times. 
  • Initiates process changes to continually improve efficiencies.  Drives continuous improvements throughout the department.   
  • Utilizes established SCP and JIT techniques.  Ensures process capability, new equipment validation, and preventative equipment maintenance to optimize cell performance. 
  • Establishes and maintains records including, but not limited to set-ups, inspections, process control and traceability; handles controlled documents to assure only the most current instructions are available and accessible. 
  • Ensures department budget is met and within goal. 
  • Follows set training program for position and ensures training requirements are up to date.   
  • Manages department staff consistent with established human resource practices, Heraeus Medevio policies and guidelines including hiring, compensation and termination decisions.

 

Your Profile:

  • 2 - 3 years job shop experience.  
  • Ability to work 3rd shift
  • Solid record of time management/multitasking skills highly desired.  
  • Previous working experience with ISO quality system.
  • Lean manufacturing experience a plus in a regulated environment. 
  • High School Diploma required.  Post secondary technical education preferred.  
  • Can listen attentively to questions, concerns and feedback from coworkers and customers remaining focused on the issue without getting emotionally involved.
  • Can articulate clearly.  Legibly and accurately documents production and management data.   
  • Intermediate computer literacy, blue print reading, tolerance requirements and production capability measures (PpkCpk).  
  • Experience with staff supervision distinguished through consistent display of leadership by example in accordance with Heraeus Medevio's core values.  Ability to anticipate and practice participative management style.
