Revalyu (US) LLC will construct a manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Georgia, to convert recycled PET bottle flakes into rPET pellets using a breakthrough chemical recycling process.  Our customers can directly replace their conventional PET material with sustainably produced, recycled PET for their production of fibers, textiles, carpet, food packaging, and even new drink bottles.  We are in the early stages of the project (US One) and hiring staff for key positions that will lead the construction project and later the manufacturing operations.

SUMMARY

The EHS Manager is responsible for the Environmental, Health, and Safety Management for the revalyu US site.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE US ONE PROJECT

  1. Reviews engineering plans and equipment specifications for air emissions control and industrial wastewater treatment processes.
  2. Reviews plans and specifications for compliance with US Building Codes and Standards, FM Recommendations, and Company Standards.
  3. Communicates US Building Codes and Standards, FM Recommendations, and Company Standards to engineering consultants, construction contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  4. Leads Process Hazards Reviews and recommends process improvements.
  5. Determines environmental permitting requirements and prepares permit applications when appropriate.
  6. Prepares emergency plans including emergency response plans, fire protection plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, spill prevention control and counter measures.
  7. Recommends process changes based on process knowledge and experience.
  8. Leads Process Hazards Reviews, Safety Reviews, and Safety Audits.
  9. Conduct Job Safety Analyses determining appropriate PPE requirements.
  10. Assists with preparations of operating instructions, maintenance instructions such as LOTO, and training documents.
  11. Develops OSHA required safety management programs such as Hazards Communications and Process Safety Management.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS FOLLOWING PLANT COMMISSIONING

  • Develops and maintains OSHA required Safety Management Programs including Hazards Communications and Process Safety Management.
  • Develops an employee led safety team with an effective safety audit program.
  • Establishes and conducts safety training programs, such as Industrial Forklift Training, Lockout/tagout, Hazardous Chemicals, Asbestos, Back Safety, Confined Space, etc.
  • Provides Occupational Health and Safety Training as necessary for new hires and annually for experienced employees.
  • Manages Occupational Health and Safety Incident Investigations, Corrective Actions, record keeping and reporting.
  • Manages environmental permit monitoring programs, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Leads or supports certification and compliance with international management standards such as ISO9000, IS014000, GRS, etc.
  • Maintains and monitors compliance with emergency plans including emergency response plans, fire protection plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, spill prevention control and counter measures.
  • Tracks key performance indicators, sets goals, and creates actions plans for performance improvement.

 

 

What we're looking for in a EHS Manager role:

  • 5 years of experience with EHS management or engineering in a chemical processing or polymer manufacturing industry is preferred.
  •  An in-depth understanding of Environmental, Occupational Health, Process Safety Management, and Safety regulations is required.  
  • Experience with ISO9000, ISO14000 and GRS Certifications is preferred.  
  • Excellent communications and technical skills are required.
  • A four-year college degree in Engineering or related Sciences.
