Revalyu (US) LLC will construct a manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Georgia, to convert recycled PET bottle flakes into rPET pellets using a breakthrough chemical recycling process.  Our customers can directly replace their conventional PET material with sustainably produced, recycled PET for their production of fibers, textiles, carpet, food packaging, and even new drink bottles.  We are in the early stages of the project (US One) and hiring staff for key positions that will lead the construction project and later the manufacturing operations.

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for making sure all buildings, machinery, and equipment on the site are kept in good operating condition and appearance.  The Maintenance Manager researches, develops, designs, tests, and implements/installs preventative maintenance systems and equipment.  The Maintenance Manager manages the Maintenance Department including the Supply Room.  The role of the position will change from project engineering to hiring to construction to commissioning to maintenance of continuous operations.  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS DURING PROJECT EXECUTION

  1. Reviews engineering plans and equipment specifications for accuracy and completeness.

  2. Recommends equipment changes based on knowledge and experience; Recommends equipment suppliers based on knowledge and experience.

  3. Determines spare parts requirements based on knowledge and experience.

  4. Solicits and reviews equipment quotations making value recommendations to the Purchasing Manager.  Creates purchase requisitions.

  5. Completes layouts of the supply room, maintenance shops and services including purchasing of shop equipment and tools.

  6. Supervises the Supply Room and Maintenance Planner with the setting up Supply Room, receiving systems, storage area, chemical inventory and supply room inventory management systems.

  7. Works with the HR Manager for the recruiting and hiring of staff and department employees.

  8. During construction supervises Maintenance Department staff, electricians, and mechanics who will assist subcontractors with equipment erection and installation insuring compliance with plans and process requirements.

  9. Assists the CFO with tracking of equipment installation with creation and designation of fixed assets.

  10. Assists the SHE Manager with Process Hazards Reviews, Safety Reviews, Safety Audits and Development of LOTO procedures.  

  11. Develops preventative maintenance plans and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).   

  12. Prepares maintenance instructions and training plans.

  13. Assists the Project Manager with development and execution of commissioning plans; Assists the Quality Manager with development of maintenance documents and procedures necessary for ISO9001 certification.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS AFTER COMMISSIONING

  1. Responds to manufacturing problems with maintenance and contractor resources being on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

  2. Understands plant needs and plans for maintenance work to assure the site of smooth and efficient plant operations; Understands the technical aspects of the plant equipment and control systems to provide the maintenance resources (employees and contractors) with the correct skills and knowledge to maintain efficient plant operations. 

  3. Ensures that all maintenance employees have been educated on and abide by plant rules and procedures regarding safety, work standards, productivity, housekeeping, cost reduction, and waste. 

  4. Develops Budgets and Key Performance Indicators (KPS) for the Maintenance Department.  Prepares monthly reports on department costs and performance versus KPIs. 

  5. Develops and maintains a robust Preventative Maintenance Plan and CMMS system. 

  6. Supervises the Supply Room and Maintenance Planning functions.

  7. Supervises contractors, and vendors providing equipment and services for maintenance of plant machinery, buildings, grounds, and security.  Ensures that contractors and vendors comply with Revalyu US Contractor Safety Rules.

  8. Provides feedback by utilizing good verbal and written skills, to direct reports as well as indirect reports on expectations and performance levels and communicating pertinent information to superiors. 

  9. Builds morale and creates positive attitudes through strong leadership and relationships with employees and other managers. 

  10. Make periodic evaluations of all maintenance related procedures and initiates needed changes.

  11. Provides direction and resources to develop the necessary technical skills of maintenance personnel.

  12. Maintains proper inventory of supplies, spare parts, and spare equipment in the plant or in storage to assure continued plant operations.

  13. Assists the SHE Manager with Process Hazards Reviews, Safety Reviews, Safety Audits and Maintenance of LOTO procedures.  

 

 

 

What we're looking for in a Process Engineer role:

  • A four-year college degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related Sciences is preferred. Or a two-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics with extensive industrial maintenance experience.

  • 5 years of experience with maintenance management in a chemical processing or manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • An in depth understanding of mechanical equipment, plant utilities, and automated processes is required. 

  • Experience managing a maintenance department with a CMMS system is preferred.   

  • Experience with ISO9000 is preferred. 

  • Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, communication, and technical skills are required.

  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
